Liu Xiaoming repeats Chinese stance on 'dual-track approach' of pursuing denuclearization and peace

Liu Xiaoming, China’s special representative on Korean Peninsula affairs, has spoken by phone with Washington’s North Korea policy envoy and called for a “dual-track approach” to solving Korean Peninsula issues.

“Pleasure to speak with U.S. Special Representative for the DPRK Ambassador Sung Kim on the phone,” Liu tweeted on July 6. “I stressed the need for the dual-track approach and the phased and synchronized principle in promoting the political settlement of the issues of Korean Peninsula.”
