North Korea claims no COVID-19 cases, despite recent report of ‘grave’ incident

Pyongyang tells the World Health Organization it tested an additional 711 people from June 18-24

North Korea has once again reported zero cases of COVID-19 after testing an additional 711 people, according to the most recent World Health Organization (WHO) report.

The report, released on Friday, came a few days after North Korean state media said leader Kim Jong Un held an expanded politburo meeting in response to a “grave” incident related to the country’s pandemic prevention efforts.
