US tycoon wants to pour money into North Korea, but says he has no path forward

Investor Jim Rogers has a vague vision for investing in DPRK tourism, but says he can’t do “anything except watch”

American investor Jim Rogers says that he wants to invest in tourism to North Korea, but that sanctions against the country continue to stand in his way.

Speaking to NK News at the Pyeongchang Peace Forum earlier this week, Rogers — the cofounder of the Quantum Group of Funds — said he wants to pour his money into inter-Korean travel, but that it’s currently “illegal” for him to do “anything except watch” North Korea issues right now.
