South Korea to spend millions bolstering military with mass-produced missiles

The Korean Tactical Surface to Surface Missile (KTSSM) can seek and destroy underground bunkers

Almost a month after North Korea showed off its new, larger-than-ever ICBM, a South Korean defense agency released a series of plans that would bolster the country’s military capabilities.

The Defense Project Promotion Committee, overseen by defense minister Suh Wook, approved a multimillion-dollar project to mass-produce a short-range ballistic missile that has a flight range of about 120 kilometers (74.5 miles) and the ability to strike targets precisely.
