Moon Jae-in’s North Korean human rights agenda is again being questioned by South Korean conservatives. The Democratic Minjoo Party’s once-popular inter-Korean policies have stalled, and as Moon makes perceived blunders in the human rights realm, his support has also decreased.

If Moon continues to lose support for his inter-Korean policies, he will have two options: change policy or risk the conservatives entering the Blue House after his five-year term is up.

CRITICISM FROM CONSERVATIVES

Lawmakers from the recently renamed conservative party, the People Power Party, have started to use Moon’s ambivalence to human rights to attack the ruling government.
