Two Koreas running out of time to discuss planned World Cup qualifier match: MOU

Teams expected to face-off on October 15 in Pyongyang, though North reportedly unresponsive

The two Koreas are increasingly running out of time to discuss an expected upcoming World Cup qualifier match set to take place in Pyongyang in mid-October, the South Korean Ministry Unification (MOU) said Tuesday.

The DPRK early last month informed the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) that it would host a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier match between the two Koreas on October 15 at the Kim Il Sung Stadium in Pyongyang.
