Syria’s foreign minister on Tuesday said that North Korea was willing to help with his country’s post-war reconstruction and that DPRK workers could help with the process, in comments that followed his return from a recent trip to Pyongyang.

Minister Walid al-Moallem visited both the DPRK and China last month and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with North Korea officials on June 25.

“The Koreans are ready to send the competent workers for construction and redevelopment, and are ready to proceed immediately if the legal procedures are completed,” Walid said, according to comments carried by local outlet Enab Baladi.
