Seoul to fund research into inter-Korean economic cooperation in border region

Researchers asked to investigate potential cross-border collaboration between local governments

South Korea's presidential committee and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety plan to conduct new research into ways to reinvigorate the regional economy by improving inter-Korean economic cooperation, documents seen by NK News revealed this week.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety this week announced plans to commission a three-month-long “policy research on ways to revitalize the economy in the border areas in the era of inter-Korean reconciliation and cooperation.”
