Australian released by North Korea on Thursday will “return to normal life”

Alek Sigley will not be taking media requests, statement says

An Australian citizen who was released yesterday from over a week's detention in North Korea will not be conducting interviews with media and now hopes to "return to normal life," a statement distributed to journalists on Friday said.

"Alek Sigley, who was released from detention and left North Korea yesterday (Thursday, July 4), will not be holding a news conference or taking part in media interviews," it said. "He asks that media respect his privacy and that of his family as they return to normal life."
