Last September saw the two Koreas sign what was described at the time as a “de facto” peace treaty: a comprehensive agreement by their two militaries to seek to reduce tensions and establish trust.

But what impact might these changes have on the ground? In this episode Chun In-bum discusses the U.S.-ROK alliance, Pyongyang’s sincerity in seeking talks, and whether North Korea is South Korea’s “main enemy.”

Retired Lieutenant General Chun In-bum entered the Korea Military Academy in 1977. From April 2015, he was the deputy commander for the First ROK Army. He retired from active duty as of July of 2016.
