The United Nations’ top envoy focusing on human rights in North Korea will spend five days in the South Korean capital next week, the UN announced in a statement on Thursday.

Tomás Ojea Quintana plans to hold meetings with senior South Korean government officials and diplomats, the statement added, “as well as representatives of the civil society and other stakeholders.”

He also plans to “interview people who have recently escaped the DPRK,” it continued, “and collect information on the current human rights situation inside the country.”
