A North Korean garment factory is working to resolve problems and improve productivity by running a prize contest and collecting ideas for technical innovation proposed by workers, state-run online media Naenara reported on Monday.

The Munsu Ponghwa Clothing Factory, state media reported, had previously seen productivity suffer “because of a lack of skilled workers.”

To meet changing demand, the clothing factory reportedly sought to “improve the technical knowledge and skills of the employees and enhance… productivity” and “often organized prize contests” with the goal of gathering opinions from employees and seeking solutions based on their views.
