Air Koryo to “substantially” raise prices for select dates in 2019: tour company

Fare increase to affect peak tourism periods in April and September

North Korean national airliner Air Koryo will next year "substantially" raise ticket prices during certain peak tourism periods, a Beijing-based DPRK tour company said on Thursday.

A blog post by the Koryo Tours agency reported that the tour operators had been informed that flights between the Chinese and DPRK capitals during the Pyongyang Marathon, as well as "from 1 April to 10 May and from 1 September to 15 October," will see fare hikes.
