The U.S. – China Commission on Wednesday called on Congress in its annual report to investigate Beijing’s current enforcement of North Korea sanctions.

The bipartisan group, which generates the yearly reports covering U.S. economic, trade, security and military interactions with China, claimed that Beijing’s enforcement practices had slipped in 2018.

“The Commission recommends… Congress direct the U.S. Department of the Treasury to provide a report within 180 days on the current state of Chinese enforcement of sanctions on North Korea,” the report reads.
