North Korean company seeking foreign investment for new exhibition center, hotel

Korean International Exhibition Corporation plans to construct "profit-making" center in Pyongyang

North Korea's Korean International Exhibition Corporation (KIEC) is seeking international investment for a plan to construct a new exhibition center and a 30-story hotel in Pyongyang, a proposal carried by a Ministry of External Economic Relations-run website revealed on Monday.

Indoor and outdoor exhibition halls, as well as around 1000 standard exhibition booths, will be installed in what is described as a "modern and profit-making exhibition center," the proposal says, which will be built in Pyongyang's Wasan-dong, Sosong district.
