U.S. end-of-war declaration not “bargaining chip” for denuclearization: KCNA

DPRK state media reiterates complaints about continued sanctions pressure

An American commitment to securing a formal end to the Korean War will not be enough to result in Pyongyang taking further steps towards denuclearization, the country's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said in a commentary on Tuesday.

Citing "Korean issue experts of America," the commentary derided claims that the DPRK would see an end-of-war declaration as a sufficient concession to begin the dismantling of the Yongbyon nuclear facility.
