“No big difference” between South Korea, UNC on removal of DMZ guard posts: MND

Defense ministry insists United Nations Command supports last week's DPRK-ROK military agreement

The ROK military on Thursday insisted there are no significant differences between Seoul and United Nations Command (UNC) on the withdrawal of guard posts (GP) from the inter-Korean border and the broader demilitarization of the Joint Security Area (JSA).

Seoul has been in “close consultation” with the UNC on the implementation of last week's inter-Korean military agreement, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) said, including on the issue of the withdrawal of guard posts.
