At UN, Moon calls for end to Korean War, support from UN

South Korean President says formal end to conflict "an urgent task"

South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Wednesday called for an end to the Korean War and support from the international community in denuclearizing the peninsula, during his speech at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Moon recounted the progress made since the last UNGA debate a year ago and thanked U.S. President Donald Trump and the UN for their efforts.
