A South Korean national is being held in custody under investigation for technological cooperation with North Korea, the Seoul Metro Police Agency (SMPA) confirmed to NK News on Tuesday.
The man — surname Kim — runs a company specializing in face recognition technology.
NK News independently identified the man’s full name and company, but the head of the investigation team at the SMPA — who wished to remain anonymous — asked that his personal information not be made public while the investigation is underway.
