South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Wednesday dismissed Minister of National Defense Song Young-moo, the Blue House announced, as part of a major cabinet reshuffle.

Current head of Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) Jeong Kyeong-doo has been tapped to replace him, presidential spokesperson Kim Eui-keum said in a briefing.
