Washington still sending planning team to Singapore: White House

Though it remains unclear if the summit is going ahead as previously planned

Washington announced on Saturday it will send a planning team to Singapore to prepare for a possible summit with Kim Jong Un, even though it remains unclear if the negotiations with Pyongyang will go ahead.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday canceled a planned summit with Kim, originally scheduled for June 12 in Singapore, yet it seems there is some possibility the talks can be salvaged.
