News Seoul “carrying out preparations” to finance inter-Korean projects: ministerAny cooperation would require green light from the international community, Kim Dong-yeon adds
The South Korean government is currently discussing plans to fund inter-Korean economic cooperation projects in the wake of last Friday’s summit, the country’s finance minister said on Wednesday. Speaking in Sejong, ROK, Kim Dong-yeon said that any projects to be financed by the South Korean government would have to be cleared with the United Nations and would need to be in line with international sanctions against the DPRK. “We’re internally carrying out preparations, in terms of what to prepare, and how to cooperate with the international community, and how to finance (possible inter-Korea projects),” Kim said, in comments carried by Reuters. © Korea Risk Group.
