North Korea's national airline Air Koryo will begin to operate twice-weekly flights from Pyongyang to Samjiyon on Friday, the Pyongyang-linked online outlet Arirang-Meari reported on Thursday.
The new domestic flights will take passengers to Ryanggang Province in the country's northeast, where the sacred Mount Paektu is located.
