The UK’s Royal Navy has deployed a frigate to the Asia-Pacific to help monitor illicit North Korean trade activities in the region, according to a Ministry of Defense press release issued on Wednesday.

During its deployment, the HMS Albion will safeguard free trade and partake in joint military exercises with allies in the region and support UN sanctions against the DPRK.

“Until North Korea matches its words with concrete actions, the UK will continue working closely with partners and allies to keep up pressure and strictly enforce existing sanctions,” Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson said in the press release.
