South Korea may send special envoy to Pyongyang ahead of summit: Blue House

Possibility of high-level talks in DPRK capital before Moon-Kim meeting "remains open"

Seoul may send a presidential special envoy to Pyongyang in the very near future to facilitate preparations for an inter-Korean summit slated to take place on April 27, South Korea's Blue House said on Tuesday.

Im Jong-seok, head of the summit preparatory committee, told press that the possibility of sending National Intelligence Service (NIS) head Suh Hoon or National Security Office chief Chung Eui-yong to the DPRK capital "remains open if necessary."
