Give Kim an offer he can’t refuse: exchange nukes for economic modernization

For any agreement to stand a chance, it must come with cash - and security guarantees

If President Donald Trump genuinely intends to establish permanent peace on the Korean peninsula, then he must adopt a bold and audacious approach and offer a comprehensive package deal so enticing that Chairman Kim Jong Un could not possibly refuse.

Complete, verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization (CVID) of North Korea will require that the United States secure the active participation and unyielding commitment of all four of the remaining stakeholder nations (South Korea, China, Japan, and Russia – the members of the Six-Party Talks) to effectively utilize all sticks and carrots at hand.
