U.S., Japan and South Korean security advisers meet to discuss North Korea

Meeting follows flurry of diplomatic activity with North Korea in Europe

Security advisers from Japan, the U.S., and South Korea met over the weekend in San Francisco to discuss North Korean denuclearization and two planned summits with the DPRK, according to a White House press release issued on Monday.

National Security Advisor of the United States H.R. McMaster, National Security Office Director Chung Eui-yong of the Republic of Korea, and Secretary General of the National Security Secretariat Shotaro Yachi of Japan held the trilateral meeting in the wake of a recent conciliatory posture from North Korea.
