Seoul will spend approximately USD$120,000 on North Korea’s participation in the upcoming PyeongChang Paralympics, the Ministry of Unification (MOU) announced on Friday.

The proposal to spend KRW134.2 million (USD$125,333) was agreed on Thursday.

Using funds from the Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund (IKCF), the South Korean government plans to spend KRW74 million (USD$69,223) on accommodation and KRW27 million (USD$25,257) on supply goods for the DPRK national squad.

Funds will be paid to the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) and the Korea Paralympic Committee, the ministry said in a written statement.
