Trump’s human rights criticism a pretext for military action: Rodong Sinmun

Ruling party organ also denounces presence of “human trash" defector Ji Seong-ho at SOTU

U.S. President Donald Trump's criticism of North Korea's human rights in his State of the Union Address (SOTU) last week was part of a pretext for military action against the DPRK, ruling party organ the Rodong Sinmun said in a commentary on Tuesday.

In an extended and expletive-ridden editorial, the newspaper denounced Trump’s speech for introducing “human trash” in his speech, referring to North Korea defector Ji Seong-ho, and raising a human rights problem “which doesn’t exist.”
