Reported North Korean ship deficiencies doubled in January: Tokyo MOU

Number of vessels inspected at overseas ports fell, however, as DPRK sends fewer abroad

Deficiencies in North Korean vessels reported by international ports during inspections doubled in January, according to recent data from the Tokyo MOU, reaching their highest levels in a year.

The average amount of deficiencies reported on North Korean vessels was 21.08, with two showing more than 40 deficiencies.
