North Korea asks Seoul to provide fuel for Mangyongbong-92 ferry

140-member performing squad will stay at Seoul's five-star Grand Walkerhill hotel later in the week

Pyongyang has requested that Seoul provide fuel for the Mangyongbong-92 passenger ferry, the Ministry of Unification (MOU) announced on Wednesday, a day after the ship arrived in the South carrying members of a North Korean performing squad.

The unification ministry said Tuesday afternoon that Seoul would, based on previous inter-Korean agreements, provide the North Koreans with their needs while in the South but that Pyongyang was yet to make any requests.
