An upcoming U.S. Presidential delegation to the PyeongChang Olympics Closing Ceremony has no plans to meet with any members of a high-ranking North Korean delegation, a State Department spokesperson told NK News on Thursday.

“Ivanka Trump is going to the Olympic Closing Ceremony to show appreciation for Team USA and to demonstrate the strength of the U.S.-ROK alliance,” the spokesperson said.

“There are no plans to meet with North Korean officials during the Olympics.”
