North Korean media on Monday warned South Korean President Moon Jae-in against making “sordid acts” that would impede the improvement of inter-Korean relations and the dispatch of a delegation to the upcoming Winter Olympics.

The editorial, published in ruling party organ the Rodong Sinmun, is the first North Korean comment on a new year speech by Moon made last Wednesday, a day after the two Koreas held high-level talks at Peace House in Panmunjom.

The speech saw Moon say the improvement of the South-North relationship “can’t go separately” from the nuclear issue and suggest U.S. President Donald Trump should take
