North Korea-linked ship was owned by Chinese state-run company: report

Ownership may have breached UN resolutions on involvement with DPRK vessels

A Chinese state-owned company was involved with the ownership and administration of a North Korean vessel, in a possible breach of UN resolutions, a report from a Hong Kong-based media outlet said on Tuesday.

The 2800-tonne Hae Bang San was, at various times, owned or managed by a company linked to China's largest state-run investment group, even as it sailed around Japan, China, and North Korea.
