Seoul is considering imposing further unilateral sanctions on North Korea, South Korea’s first vice foreign minister said on Wednesday.

Emphasizing that the Moon Jae-in administration believes that “faithful implementation” of UN Security Council resolutions against the DPRK is “crucial,” Lim Sung-nam said that further measures “can be reviewed.”

“Our government is continuously considering the measure of unilateral sanctions, but the specifics haven’t been decided,” Lim said at a news conference in Seoul following a meeting with U.S. and Japanese counterparts.
