North Korea on Thursday criticized U.S. President Trump for his recent comments regarding the death of Otto Warmbier, pointing to a recent coroner’s report which could find no evidence of torture.

Following an interview with Warmbier’s parents on Tuesday, the U.S. President tweeted “Otto was tortured beyond belief by North Korea,” though the claim seemed inconsistent with medical examinations.

The 22-year old student was arrested in North Korea last year, accused of attempting to steal a propaganda poster. North Korea released Warmbier in June, though he was in a coma and died shortly after his return.
