DPRK says millions have volunteered for army in past week as tensions rise

Any war that would break out on the Korean peninsula would become a nuclear conflict, a commentary in North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Monday.

In an article condemning the upcoming joint U.S.-ROK Ulchi Freedom Guardian (UFG) military drill, which will begin on August 21, the KCNA report said the exercise would worsen already growing tensions on the Korean peninsula.
