U.S. President Donald Trump signed into law on Wednesday a new sanctions bill containing further measures targeting North Korea, following its passage through both the House of Representatives and Senate in July.

The bipartisan bill to enhance sanctions against Russia, Iran, and North Korea was passed overwhelmingly in the House of Representatives by a margin of 419-3 and in the Senate by a margin of 98-2.

“The bill sends a clear message to Iran and North Korea that the American people will not tolerate their dangerous and destabilizing behavior,” Trump said in a statement published by the White House.
