Trump signs North Korea, Iran and Russia sanctions bill into law

Tillerson has 90 days to decide if North Korea qualifies as a state sponsor of terrorism

U.S. President Donald Trump signed into law on Wednesday a new sanctions bill containing further measures targeting North Korea, following its passage through both the House of Representatives and Senate in July.

The bipartisan bill to enhance sanctions against Russia, Iran, and North Korea was passed overwhelmingly in the House of Representatives by a margin of 419-3 and in the Senate by a margin of 98-2.
