South Korean presidential office denies claims of crisis on Korean peninsula

Seoul believes there is a "high possibility" to "fundamentally" resolve the North Korean issue

The South Korean presidential office on Wednesday rejected claims that the situation on the Korean peninsula had reached a crisis point and said there is a "high possibility" that the North Korean issue could be "fundamentally" resolved.

“We do not agree with the claim that the Korean peninsula is at a near-crisis point,” a senior Blue House official told local media in comments confirmed by NK News, in response to a question.
