Seoul warns South Korean companies on U.S. secondary sanctions

Move follows new measures by U.S. Treasury against entities in China, Russia, Singapore, and Namibia

The South Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF) on Monday issued an announcement urging South Korean companies to strictly observe recent U.S. Treasury Department sanctions against entities and individuals linked to North Korea's missile and nuclear development programs.

"(The list of) twenty organizations and individuals designated by U.S. government on last February 29 and August 20, will be published in our official gazette today," South Korean foreign minister Kang Kyung-hwa said during a press briefing in Seoul.
