News South Korea “considering the possibility” North Korea tested ICBM: MoonROK President expresses "deep disappointment" after DPRK "provocation"
The South Korean government believes it is possible that a North Korean missile test earlier in the day was an Inter-continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), President Moon Jae-in said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon. An initial assessment by U.S. and South Korean authorities, Moon said, had estimated that “the provocation is a medium and long-range missile.” “We are conducting a detailed analysis considering the possibility that [the North] launched an ICBM-class missile,” he said. “If [Pyongyang] launched the ICBM-class missile, we plan to draw up measures accordingly.” Moon expressed his “deep disappointment” that North Korea had chosen to carry out a © Korea Risk Group.
