North Korea has launched a new e-commerce website entitled “Unphasan”, equipped with new services such as preordering and payment on delivery, state-run outlet Arirang-Meari reported last week.

The online store, set up by the Unphasan IT Exchange Company, will “actively push ahead with the vitalization of e-commerce and the diversification of the knowledge economy in accordance with the demands of the real world,” according to the report.

Unphasan “sells products to subscribers,” and provides ordering services such as a “function to search for goods and put products into one basket and online payments” for “the convenience of the browsers and product purchasers.”
