U.S. tells China N. Korea is “top security” concern at high-level meeting

Washington also said it expects Beijing to exert more pressure on North Korea

The U.S. made clear to Beijing on Wednesday that it considers North Korea its top security threat during a security dialogue between the two countries held in Washington DC, while calling on China to do more to reign in the DPRK.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis hosted China's foreign policy chief, Yang Jiechi, and the head of the People's Liberation Army's joint staff department, General Fang Fenghui, at the first session of the Diplomatic Security Dialogue.
