President Moon Jae-in has expressed his personal condolences to the family of U.S. citizen Otto Warmbier, South Korea’s presidential office said on Tuesday.

Warmbier, who was held captive in North Korea for more than 17 months and who returned to Ohio last week in a coma, died aged 22 on Monday local time.

The Blue House said that Moon will have his condolences personally delivered to Warmbier’s family, according to Seoul’s Yonhap News Agency.
