N. Korea sent drone to collect “military intelligence” at THAAD site: ROK

South Korea says capacity of drone is improved, flying range double previous North Korean UAVs

North Korea sent a drone to collect “military intelligence” on the deployment of the U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery and the front-line area between the two Koreas, South Korea's Ministry of Defense (MND) said on Wednesday, citing the findings of a scientific investigation.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) on June 9 announced that a joint investigation team had been called to the scene after receiving a report from locals that a small sized flight vehicle had been found on a hill in Inje County, Gangwon Province at around 11 am.
