Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned the U.S. against taking unilateral military action in North Korea on Monday at a press conference in Moscow.

Responding to a question on recent comments made by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, the Russian foreign minister said he hoped the U.S. would not employ tactics similar to the recent Syria strike on the Korean Peninsula.

“If the figure of speech used by the U.S. Vice President can be understood as a threat of a unilateral military solution, it is a highly risky
