North Korean special forces simulate striking a missile base

Drills may be countermeasures against Seoul's pre-emptive strike plans

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised military drills involving special operations forces which simulated striking an enemy missile base and attacking foreign commandos, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Thursday.

“Combatants of the special operation battalion” under the direct control of Unit 525 of the Korean People's Army (KPA) along with the army, navy, and air and anti-aircraft forces participated in the "Dropping and Target-striking Contest of KPA Special Operation Forces."
