Moon Jae-in has “high chances to win” presidency, says North Korean media

Rodong Sinmun editorial is first in DPRK media on Moon's presidential campaign

North Korea’s most widely read newspaper the Rodong Sinmun declared Minjoo Party presidential candidate Moon Jae-in the “candidate with high chances to win” the upcoming South Korean Presidential election on May 9 in an editorial today.

Moon’s name appeared in Rodong earlier this year in passing, but this is the first time the former chief presidential secretary been mentioned as a potential future president of South Korea - something not covered by North Korean media when he ran against Park Geun-hye in 2012.
