North Korean and Libyan officials met in Tripoli on Wednesday to discuss increasing military cooperation between the two countries, according to the Information Office of the Libyan Ministry of Defense.

The Office of Information for the Libyan Ministry of Defence published details of the meeting between Minister of Defense Al-Mahdi Al-Barghathi and newly appointed North Korean Ambassador Ju Jin Hyok on its Facebook page.

The meeting “brought together the defense minister with the Ambassador of the Republic of North Korea (sic), to bilaterally discuss the relations between the two countries, particularly in the field of military cooperation,” the post read.
