Nikki Haley, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's pick for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said on Wednesday the United States could “make magic” in enforcing sanctions against North Korea, but only if China provided assistance.
Speaking at a confirmation hearing at the U.S. Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Haley said Washington "has to work closely” with Beijing, describing China and Russia as “tough partners”.
